Lewis & Clark Trip recap

In late July, a group of over two dozen Rice alumni and friends accompanied famed professor and faculty lecturer Dr. John Boles to a trip to Idaho and Montana to retrace the steps Lewis and Clark took to discover the west.  Complete with canoe trips, horseback riding, and accommodations in authentic lodges (and tents!), the group learned about the expedition and its impact on the formation of the country.

This was Dr. Boles’ 4th time leading this trip and although this trip had to deal with some never before experienced weather (excessive wind and some rain), Dr. Boles reported that travelers enjoyed the experience and as always, treasured the opportunity to travel with the alumni and friends.

The next trip that will be leaving is the Provincial French Countryside trip led by art historian and assistant professor Dr. Linda Neagley.  This trip, August 29-September 12, will trace the majesty and beauty of the French countryside.
